Sathyanama University is a christian minority institution. Formerly known as Satyabhama College of Engineering  this institution is a pioneer in imparting knowledge in areas of engineering, science, technology and education. Recognized by the University Grants Commission this university offers courses in 24 branches of engineering at the UG level and 24 courses at the PG level in addition to to Sciences, MBA, MCA and Ph.D programmes in all disciplines. This university is known for its strong infrastructural facilities and resources.The University has undertaken various sponsored and collaborative research and development projects funded by national organizations such as Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) etc. This university has also been recognized as an institution of due importance in the development of applications of space technology. In collaboration with ISRO this university has successfully conducted non-formal education programs through 18 village resource centers (VRC's). The full-fledged placement cell of Sathyabama University continuously monitors the employment opportunities available in various domains and arranges the campus interviews for the eligible students both at Under Graduate and Post Graduate level.
