National Brain Research Centre is an autonomous government institute. A neuroscience research and training institute this institution was conferred with the status of a deemed university and is a nodal center under the Department of Biotechnology of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. Research carried out at the center focuses on cellular&molecular neurosciences, developmental neuroscience, computational neuroscience and brain imagining. NBRC offers training and teaching in diverse fields of neuroscience. Apart from a post graduate degree in the subject the institute also offers an integrated Ph.D. (M.Sc+Ph.D.) program in neuroscience. Apart from teaching and research National Brain Research Centre is also known for its international collaborations for research&training and public outreach programs. The key resources of this institute include national neuro-imaging facility, animal facility, computer center and library.
