Aliah University, a state government controlled minority autonomous university continues to be known for its pivotal role in the advancement of higher education for socially and economically backward classes belonging to the minority community. Previously known as Mohammedan College of Calcutta, this university is renowned for its professional undergraduate and post graduate courses of M.Tech, MCA and MBA and multiple academic programmes like MA and M.Sc and Phd programmes in faculties of engineering, arts and sciences. In doing so, the university has also preserved its traditional, cultural and theological courses. Admission to most of the graduate and post graduate programmes at AU is done through written entrance examination. Another distinctive feature of the university is the Aliah University library that has an extensive collection of islamic literature, theology, jurisprudence and law along with various books, periodicals, journals, magazines and papers.

Admissions:

Aliah University Admission 2018-19:-

Aliah University administers Aliah University Admission Test (AUAT) for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses which is divided into three groups depending upon the qualification.

Candidate must fulfill the eligibility criteria for appearing the entrance test. Admission will be strictly done on the basis of merit marks obtained in the test.

Admission Form can be downloaded from the website or can be collected from the university admin office.

The University being a minority institution, and having a rich heritage of Islamic Culture, it is expected that all the students of the University shall have some basic minimum knowledge of Arabic and Islamic Studies.
