The University of Burdwan, popularly known as Burdwan university is a UGC recognized public university based in Bardhaman region of West Bengal. Accredited with a five star NAAC rating BU consists of six graduate departments and thirty undergraduate college spread over five districts. The university offers 30 graduate programmes of study and is the main affiliating university for degree, B.Ed and private professional institutes in the state.The varsity's distance education center provides distance courses through student centered self paced learning.
