Central University of Gujarat came into being as per the Central Universities Act passed by the Government of India in 2009.  Known for its integrated and skilled based courses of study CUG has also promoted innovation in teaching-learning. This university functions through its eight schools of learning that offer integrated graduate and research programmes in faculties of arts & humanities,
