Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute is a deemed university dedicated to the cause of medical education, research and healthcare. Accredited with a NAAC 'A' grade this university is a full- fledged institution with nine constituent colleges and faculties and over 100 courses in healthcare sciences. An approximated 4000 students receive education and training at the institute while another 3500 seek healthcare at the university's medical center. The university teaching hospital is the first institution in the country to be accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI).
