PEC University of Technology formerly known as Punjab Engineering College is an engineering institute located in city of Chandigarh. Recognized as a deemed university by the University Grants Commission (UGC) this university offers graduate and post graduate courses of study in various faculties of engineering and technology. PEC also provides facilities for research work leading to award of research degree Ph.D. in certain distinctive fields of engineering. The college also offers consultancy services in different disciplines. The Research Planning and Development acts as a liaison between the institute and industry/ government bodies to undertake projects with specific problem, which are generally of short duration. Some of the Industries are Philips, Luminous, Metelex. Superior central facilties and student centric services are two standout features of PEC University of Technology. The Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme aims to upscale and support ongoing efforts of GOI to improve quality of technical education. The training and placement cell of PEC provides training and placement assistance to students. The college has collaborated with national and international educational institutions for student exchange programs.
