National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is premier institute for fashion technology in the country. Headquartered in Delhi, NIFT has centers at Mumbai, Kolkata, Kangra, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Raebareli, Patna, Shillong, Bhopal, Kannur, Bhubaneswar and Jodhpur.The regular, full-time programs at NIFT are run at two levels namely graduate and post graduate level. Recently NIFT also launched its PhD program. NIFT has an agreement for dual degree with Fashion Institute of Technology, US wherein selected candidates from the institute receive a dual degree from both institutes. At the masters level NIFT offers Master of Fashion Management, Master of Design and Master of Fashion Technology course. Known for producing some of the best names in the field of design, fashion management and technology this is institute is recognized as an "institute of national importance."A statutory institute NIFT grants its own degree and academic distinctive.
