The International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad is a UGC recognized autonomous university. Accredited by NAAC this university is recognized as one of the most prominent institutes for the study of information technology in India. Established as a research university IITH's research programs are focussed on core areas of information technology, Computer Science, Electronics and Communications. The institute runs CS courses and research projects which is focussed on computation with IT. IIIT Hyderabad offers undergraduate, postgraduate and dual degree programs. Undergraduate programmes award either Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or B.Tech (Honors) in Computer Science or Electronics and Communication Engineering, while postgraduate programmes award either Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Science (MS) or Master of Philosophy (M.Phil). Dual degree programmes award B.Tech/M.S. The dual degrees offer MS in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computational Natural Science, Computational Linguistics and Exact Humanities along with a BTech. PhD degrees and  post graduate diplomas are also given. A unique and distinguishing feature of IIIT-H is the students interaction with industry, preparation in entrepreneurship and personality development courses.
