BLDE University is well known university for medical education in the state of Karnataka. BLDE offers MBBS course under graduate programmes and 17 post graduate courses (12 MD courses and 5 MS courses of study), PhD and Super Speciality Medical Education Programme (MCh Urology). All these academic courses are recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) while the undergraduate courses are also recognized by the Sri Lankan Medical Council (SMC). The university's Shri B.M.
