JSS Science and Technology University is a private university founded in the year 1963 and aims to develop as a global destination for cohesive learning of engineering, science and management which are strongly supported with interdisciplinary research and academia. It offers undergraduate and post graduate courses in various disciplines and is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

UG Programs: Students who have passed PUC/10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology, with at least 45% of marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
 
Lateral Entry to Second Year Bachelor of Engineering (B.E): Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution; with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology.
 
MBA: Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration. The Candidates need to have passed the prescribed qualifying exam with not less than 50% marks in aggregate of all years of the degree examinations. 50% of the total intake to be filled by PGCET and 50% by the Management.
 
MCA: Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration with Mathematics at 10+2 level. The Candidates need to have passed the prescribed qualifying exam with not less than 50% marks in aggregate of all years of the degree examinations. 50% of the total intake to be filled by PGCET and 50% by the Management.
 
M Tech: Open to all students who have passed B.E / B.Tech examination / AMIE(relevant field ) of VTU or any other university/institution. The Candidates need to have passed the prescribed qualifying exam with not less than 50% marks in aggregate of all years of the degree examinations.

The Training and Placement function is carried out as a small group activity by a team of the institute. An exclusive cell under the guidance of a Professor collects the data of the graduating students and maintains a comprehensive database ready for reference of interview committees. The cell arranges industrial training for the students during their summer and winter holidays. Students have the opportunity to interact with successful entrepreneurs from leading industries in order to promote the entrepreneurial skills among the students.
