Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, most famously SJ College of Engineering is a technical center that was set up in 1963 under the aegis of JSS Mahavidyapeeth. The institute is known for producing new engineers, equipped with most effective techniques in order to overcome the emerging challenges in today’s engineering world. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India.

Since its inception, the college has created its own identity for offering some quality education to those students who aspire to hold some high positions in the field of IT. Today, it has emerged as one of the top engineering schools in India.

Admissions:

Students who have passed PUC/10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology, with at least 45% of marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

Lateral Entry to Second Year Bachelor of Engineering (B.E): Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution; with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology.

Under Graduate in Engineering (regular course)

95 % of the seats will be filled by Government of Karnataka through Karnataka Examination Authority in aided courses.
50% of the seats will be filled by Government of Karnataka through Karnataka Examination Authority in unaided courses.



Facilities:

It features well maintained campus that has high-quality science labs, books and computer library, Conference halls and contemporary class rooms. There is a STD booth and ATM facilities for the students within the premises of college. Medical facilities are also provided to the students and teachers in case of emergencies. It also offers separate hostel facility.
