Mohanlal Sukhadia University formerly known as University of Udaipur is a UGC recognized public university. Started as an agricultural university this university was converted to a multi-facility university in 1964 and named after renowned politician Mohanlal Sukhadia in 1984. Accredited with a NAAC five star grade this institute has 60 affiliate colleges in the districts of Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Banswara, Dungarpur and Sirohi. MSU offers graduate, post graduate, professional and PhD courses in faculties of science, social science&humanities, commerce&management studies and law. This university is also known for its activities in research. Apart from study and research the university has played significant role in socio-economic development of backward, under-privileged and socially challenged people through its various extension activities.
