Maulana Azad National Urdu University is a UGC recognized central university dedicated to the cause of promoting Urdu as a language and providing higher and vocational education through the medium of the language. Accredited with a NAAC "A" grade this university is known for its graduate and post graduate courses of study in faculties of languages, commerce&business management, journalism&mass communication, arts&humanities, sciences. This university also provides research programs at M.Phil and Ph.D. level. MANU also has three Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) and Polytechnics under its fold. The directorate of distance education offers M.A, B.ed, B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com, different diplomas and certificate courses through distance mode. The University has a full-fledged ‘Instructional Media Centre (IMC), in its campus. IMC is engaged in production of curriculum based audio and video programmes to cater to the needs of students pursuing various academic programmes of MANUU in its distance education stream. Known for it dedicated student support services the placement office of MANU offers students training and placement assistance.
