Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University is a UGC recognized deemed university situated in Karad a city located in the western region of Maharashtra. The constituent colleges of KIMSU include medical, dental, physiotherapy, nursing and biotechnology offering graduate and undergraduate programs in respective disciplines of study. This university also offers Ph.D. programs in Anatomy, Community Medicine, Pharmacology, Microbiology and Nursing. Admission to these programs is done through the university KAIET (Krishna All India Entrance Test) These academic and research programs are recognized by the Medical Council of India. KIMSDU is known for its start-of-the-art museum, NABL accredited diagnostic laboratory and Lead Referral laboratory which is the first of its kind in the state of Maharashtra. Apart from teaching and research the hospital and medical college is also involved in several community projects.
