Kerala Agricultural University recognized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is university dedicated to study, and research in faculties of agriculture, fisheries and forestry. The university offers B.Tech and M.Tech in agriculture engineering and technology. KAU also offers B.Sc and M.Sc degree in various faculties of agriculture, fisheries and forestry along with MBA program in agri-business management and PhD (agriculture and various disciplines). The research activities undertaken by the university focus on increasing the productivity of crops, livestock and fish currently grown in the state. Kerala Karshika Sarvakalasala's extension services include testing and evaluation of technologies and bringing about institutional and organizational changes in related faculties. The university also provides short-term training programs and summer training initiatives for aspirants.
