The only university in the West Assam with the vision to provide high – quality education is the Bodoland University which is located in Debargaon, Assam. The university is set up with the vision to be the leading universities in the country and to insert such qualities in the students so that they can meet the global and regional challenges. At present, the Bodoland University has almost 16 academic departments and about six schools to study. Along with the 16 departments, the university also has the 5 study centers. The Bodoland University engaged in offering various PG and doctoral programs. It provides value – based quality education to the students.
The Bodoland University was set up under the Bodoland University Act, 2009. Before establishing as the university, it is the Kokrajhar campus of the Guwahati University. The university is located in the Debargaon which is nearly nine kilometers away from the Kokrajhar town. The university campus is the well – known for its scenic and landscape beauty which provides a peaceful and calm environment to the students. Holy River Gaurang flows on the western side of the university campus which adds additional beauty to the campus. The university is the best place for higher learning and flexible growth.

Admissions:
Bodoland University Admission Procedure:
The admission in the various courses shall be made as per the admission procedure prescribed by the Bodoland University. The university hosts an entrance examination for the admission to all the PG courses. After the completion of the entrance examination, the result will be announced by the concerned departments. The merit list will be released by the official authority which comprises the list of the qualified students. Those departments of the university which are offering the M.Phill courses will organize an entrance examination so as to provide admission in the same.
