The Bilaspur University is the state university which is located in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. The university is set up with the mission to educate and train the human resource persons for the development of the Chhattisgarh. Its objective is to create the ambiance for quality teaching – learning and skill development and it’s up gradation. Around 161 government and private colleges are affiliated in the 5 districts of the Chhattisgarh state which together constitutes the jurisdiction of the Bilaspur University. The university offers the undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different streams of arts, commerce, law, science and centers of research.

The Bilaspur University was established in the year 2012 by the gazette notification on 3.02.2012 of Chhattisgarh act no. 07, 2012. The jurisdiction of the university is extended up to five districts namely Bilaspur, Korba, Rajgarh, Janjgir Champa and Mungeli. The Bilaspur University is located in the old high court building, near Gandhi chowk, Bilaspur city. It supports teaching, research, and autonomy in the colleges to emerge as the potential of excellence. The Bilaspur University takes the appropriate measures to promote the quality education in the affiliated colleges. The university has the beautiful and picturesque campus with the beautiful lush green lawns.

Bilaspur University – Admission Procedure:

 
The Bilaspur University has prescribed the admission procedure so as to offer admissions to the eligible and deserving students in the various offered courses. The university hosts an entrance examination for the eligible students so as to offer admission in the various courses. The university follows separate admission procedure to provide enrollment to the different courses.
 
For B.Sc:
 
Admissions to the B.Sc courses will be made through the merit which is prepared be considering the marks of the entrance exam. After an entrance exam, the university conducts the counseling on the basis of the merit list.
