Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University is open university in Kota. Formerly known as Kota Open University this university is dedicated to the cause of  providing distance learning courses in faculties of humanities, commerce, library science and informatics. The University includes among its aims the goal of seeking to educate those deprived under the conventional system of education. This university is geographically distributed throughout Rajasthan, with six regional centres and several tens of "study centres" in different cities, in addition to a special centre at New Delhi. This university is well established with facilties for study and well founded student support services that make it one of the most after institutes for distance education in the region.
