Educational Requirements:-

You need to have completed one of the following in a discipline appropriate to your proposed research:
Master's degree with honours (normally with 1st class or 2nd class 1st division honours)
Bachelor's degree with honours (normally with 1st class or 2nd class 1st division honours)
Acceptance is also subject to the availability of staff for supervision, prior research preparation and appropriate facilities.

Admission to the Doctor of Philosophy also requires:

Advanced learning in research and
Completion of a research project and a written report on that research
Admission to a professional doctorate also requires:

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the specific area of study

Auckland University of Technology Infrastructure


Auckland University of Technology Infrastructure:

Auckland University of Technology Infrastructure is divided into four campuses:City (Auckland CBD), South, North Shore and Millennium. City and North Shore campuses both offer neighbouring student accommodation (498 rooms and 207 rooms, respectively). AUT runs a shuttle bus between campuses.

City Campus:- City campus is located in the heart of Auckland and houses the faculties of Applied Humanities, Business and Law, Design and Creative Technologies, and Te Ara Poutama.

South Campus:- Open in 2010, this is the first university campus to be based on region. It offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, specialising in business, computer and information sciences, education, health sciences, as well as sports management and science. South campus hosts its own library, student lounges, student information centre, course information centre, computer labs, wireless network, and café. The campus also boasts of astro turf courts with tennis, basketball, netball, volleyball, touch, and soccer equipment available on hire.

North Shore Campus:- The North Shore campus is located on Akoranga Drive in Northcote.This campus houses the faculty of Health & Environmental Sciences and School of Education. AUT's main sport and fitness facilities are located in North Shore Campus. This campus also offers a library, student support center and various other health-wellness facilities.

AUT Millennium campus:-  AUT Millennium campus is also located at North Shore Auckland. The Millennium Campus provides world-class sports training, and hosts both national and local sports organisations, including Swimming New Zealand, New Zealand Water Polo, Northsport Olympic Weightlifting, and Sport and Recreation New Zealand. The focus of the facility is high performance athlete development and success. The campus has world-class training facilities, athlete accommodation, sports science laboratories, an aquatics facility, and a commercial gym

AUT Radio Telescope, New Zealand's first radio telescope. A 12m device near Warkworth, Rodney District, it is a major step towards New Zealand's participation with Australia in the international, mega-science project, the Square Kilometre Array is available on campus.

The AUT University Library comprises three campus libraries, each of which provides services for teaching, learning and research.
