Application deadlines:-
The online application for UBC’s Vancouver and Okanagan campuses opens on in the second week of August and closes on the last week of January. The application deadline for Summer Session is second/third week of January. However, applications will remain open for Visiting, Unclassified, and Access Studies applicants. Admissions decisions for most programs are made in April or early May.
Apply for housing
If you plan to live in residence at UBC, apply for housing at the same time you apply for admission. Many first-year students are guaranteed a place in residence as long as they meet the housing requirements.

Winter Session:-
The Winter Session is divided into two terms: Term 1, generally from early September to late December (although some studies begin in August), and Term 2, generally from early January to the end of April (although some studies continue well into the month of May). During the Winter Session classes are offered in the evening as well as in the day.
Summer Session:-
Term 1 of Summer Session begins in early May and continues through July. Term 2 of Summer Session begins in early July and ends in late August.

The University of British Columbia Vancouver Infrastructure:-
The University of British Columbia's Vancouver campus is located at Point Grey, a twenty-minute drive from downtown Vancouver. It is near several beaches and has views of the North Shore mountains. The University Endowment lands are not within Vancouver city limits as such the university is policed by RMCP and not Vancouver Police Department.
However, the Vancouver Fire Department provides service to UBC under a contract. In addition to UBC RCMP, UBC have Campus Security, that patrols the campus.
UBC Vancouver also has two satellite campuses within the City of Vancouver: a campus at Vancouver General Hospital for the medical sciences, and UBC Robson Square in downtown Vancouver for part-time credit and non-credit programmes.
The university is home to a numerous gardens that boast of 8000 different kinds of plant life that is used for research, conservation and education. The campus also features the Chan Center for Peforming Arts, Telus Studio Theatre and the Royal Bank Cinema.
Okanagan Campus: UBC's Okanagan campus located on the former North Kelowna Campus of Okanagan University College, next to Kelowna International Airport on the north-east side of Kelowna, British Columbia. This campus offers undergraduate studies in arts, science, nursing, education, management, engineering as well graduate degrees in most subjects.
Libraries, archives and galleries: The UBC Library, which comprises 5.8 million books and journals, 5.3 million microforms, over 833,000 maps, videos and other multimedia materials and over 46,700 subscriptions, is the second largest research library in Canada.
The AHVA Library Gallery of the university presents contemproary and fine art exhibitions. The Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery at the UBC houses the university's collection of three archives and fine art; 1,000 works, mainly Canadian contemporary pieces 1960 to the present.
Student Residences: The three main student residences of UBC include Gage Towers, Dene House at Totem Park and Marine Drive Residences. These students residences [dormitory styled, commons block (Coquihalla), Single, Double and Lounge rooms] are designed as per student needs. The common's block includes rooms for exercise, game, and study.The newest addition to UBC Vancouver's student housing is the Ponderosa Commons Residence.The university has two colleges dedicated to accommodation for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and visiting scholars: St. John's College and Green College.
The University of British Columbia Vancouver Faculty:-
The University of British Columbia Vancouver Faculty consist of subject scholars, researchers and academicians. UBC faculty, alumni, and researchers have won seven Nobel Prizes, 68 Rhodes Scholarships, 64 Olympic medals, 180 fellowships to the Royal Society of Canada, and alumni include two Canadian prime ministers.
The University of British Columbia Vancouver Student Life and Activities:-
Student Union Building is the heart and center of the University of British Columbia Vancouver Student Life and Activities. This building houses a number of clubs, and cafés, a pub ("The Pit"), a nightclub ("The Gallery"), the inexpensive 425-seat Norman Bouchard Memorial Theatre ("The Norm Theatre"), several shops and a post office. The majority of the outlets and shops in the SUB are run by the AMS, however major corporate outlets have been added in recent years.
The SUB Art Gallery contains mostly students' work. An underground bus loop slated to replace the "Grassy Knoll" beside the SUB, did not receive funding by Translink.
The other student facilities on-campus include Ladha Science Student Centre, which was funded through a donation from Abdul Ladha, a levy from all Science undergraduate students, the VP Students, and the Dean of Science, and the Meekison Arts Student Space, which is located in the Faculty of Art's Buchanan D building.
UBC undergraduate students within the Vancouver campus are represented by the Alma Mater Society of the University of British Columbia, or AMS. The society's mandate is to improve the quality of educational, social, and personal lives of UBC students.
UBC is also known for its greek life and a number of campus events. The University of British Columbia's sports teams are called the Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds participate in the CIS's Canada West Universities Athletic Association for most varsity sports. However, several varsity teams at UBC compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. UBC is considering joining the NCAA Division II.
