Acharya Nagarjuna University is a known name in distance education in India. ANU's Center for Distance Education (CDE) is recognised by the Distance Education Council (DEC) New Delhi. The university with over 450 UG, PG and professional colleges has been a pioneer in quality education at affordable costs through its extensive study center network. The institution also holds the credit of being the first university in the country to offer PG courses in science under distance mode. Admissions at ANU's distance courses are made twice a year in two batches known as Academic Year Batch (July-June) and Calender Year Batch (January to December) with examinations held in the month of May and December respectively. Student Admissions are accepted through the Center for Distance Education or respective study centers.
