Thiagarajar College of Engineering is an engineering institute that was established in the year 1957 by a famous philanthropist Shri. Karumuttu Thiagrajan Chettiar. The college is affiliated to Anna University and is accredited with A.I.C.T.E (Govt of India). Currently, it is maintained and formulated by the state government of Tamil Nadu.

The institute has established its own identity as one of the excellent technical institutes and is getting to be known not only for its varied undergraduate courses but also Post Graduate programs. It offers full time undergraduate degree courses in Computer Science & engineering, Electronics and communication Engineering, Instrumentation & control engineering, Mechanical engineering and Information engineering. B.Arch degree is also offered through Architect program, which is a 5 years full timer program.

Admissions:

Candidates having passed 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination with 50% marks as aggregate. , having Mathematics as a subject of study and obtained 80 marks out of 200 in NATA(National Aptitude Test for Architecture) test in any one of the attempt.

 

 



Facilities:

The campus has been accorded with modern infrastructure facilities that include ATM, STD/ISD phone, XEROX center, a telephone exchange, separate hostel facility for boys and girls with a television connection in each room. There are five hostels for boys and three girls’ hostel and all have been provided with Wi-Fi connectivity.
