Sourashtra College is an institution offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Since its establishment in the year 1972, college is affiliated to the Madurai Kamaraj University and aims to introduce advanced servers and workstations to strengthen our computing facilities and provide consultancy services through its expert faculty members.

Every year the college publishes the prospectus giving details about the history and development of the college, various courses offered, procedure for admission, fee structure etc. and it is issued along with the application form for admission.
Students are selected on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying examinations adhering to the reservation policy of the Government of Tamil Nadu and the allotted quota for minority (Sourashtra) students.
The applicants’ marks and other data given in the application are fed into the computer and the merit list is prepared for each course on the basis of OC / BC / OBC / SC / ST / MBC / Minority / Physically Challenged/Ex-servicemen etc.
