The Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT) was established in the year 2006 with the aim of producing world class technology graduates tuned to the demands of a fast changing global village. It has gained the name as the best, self financed, engineering college in Karnataka in terms of infrastructural facilities.

It is a unit of Srinivas Group of Colleges, Mangalore and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum and recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
