Kanak Manjari Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (KMIPS) is a well-known pharmaceutical sciences institute in western Orrisa. It was established in the year 1982 imparting diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences for the students of Rourkela and all around the state.

The institute is affiliated with the All India Council of Technical Education, and functions under Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela.[further explanation needed] recognized by the state government of Orrisa.
 


Admissions:

Application for admission to a course should be made in the prescribed application form which is available along with the prospectus.

Candidates belonging to all categories except Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes for admission to the Pharmacy Course should have obtained not less than 50% marks on aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany/ Zoology) at the qualifying examinations (Academic Stream) after a period of 12 years of study.
 



Facilities:

The College has a beautiful infrastructure with red bricks and has also been declared as a heritage building. The beautifully maintained college gardens add to its pristine glory and newly built canteen and the cafeteria offer good variety of food and beverages, serving as a lively patter of budding students. It also has clubs, library and well equipped labs.
