The establishment of Yogi Vemana University was done by the Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly on 9 March 2006. Yogi Vemana University is situated in the Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. The university is named after a great philosopher and the most celebrated Telugu poet Yogi Vemana. This university is affiliated with the University Grant Commission (UGC). The university campus is spread over 700 acres of land Yogi Vemana University.
Yogi Vemana University has located 15 km away from Kadapa city on the Kadapa-Pulivendula Road. The main objective of this university is to disseminate knowledge and enlightened intelligence through the advancement of learning. The university is committed to foster and uphold healthy academic values which contribute to the intellectual, social and moral development.

Admissions:
Yogi Vemana University Admission:-
Candidates who want to get enrolled and to make their career with this university had to go through the Common Entrance Test which is conducted by this university every year. For admission in post graduate course students have to qualify the YVU post graduate common entrance test (YVUPGCET) and for Ph.D. course students have to qualify YVU Research Entrance Test (YVURESET). Candidates have to do work hard if they want to get the admission because the level of this examination is very high. The admission form can be downloaded from the official webpage of the university. The students will be given a ticket on the basis of the entrance test merit list.
