University of Jammu is a UGC recognized public university formed by an act of the state legislature of Jammu and Kashmir. Accredited with a NAAC "A" grade this university offers post graduate and doctoral courses of study in faculties of life sciences, business studies, arts/oriential languages, mathematical law, sciences, social science, medicine, engineering and music & finearts. The University has set up satellite campuses in Bhaderwah, Kathua and Poonch with an accent on vocational courses. The first university in India to receive the ISO 9001 certification this university is known for its well founded student support services and central facilities. The university's well equipped library is home to large collection of books and media collection.
