Thiruvallauvar University is a UGC recognized public university located in Vellore, Tamilnadu. Named after Tamil poet Thiruvallauvar this university offers post graduate (coursework) and Ph.D. (research courses) of study in faculties of biotechnology, chemistry, english, economics, mathematics, tamil and zoology. The Thiruvalluvar Institute of Distance Education (TIDE) of the university offers bachelors programs in faculties of arts, commerce, computer application, business adminstration and science. Non-semester/semester examinations for undergraduate/postgraduate degree students of the university departments and affiliated colleges are conducted.
