Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University SMVDU commonly known as SMVD university or SMVDU is a centrally funded university. Situated near the shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi this fully residential university provides technical education in engineering, science, management, philosophy and other subjects of contemporary importance, with all technical courses recognised by AICTE, CIC, COA. With the focus on higher learning&research. SMVDU offers graduate and post graduate courses of study in faculties of architecture, technology, business administration, arts, science and commerce. Doctoral programs are offered by all schools of learning. Student Assistant ship program of the university recognises and propels academic excellence besides inculcating positive work culture. Top ten percent in each class are awarded scholarship with tuition fee waiver ranging from 100% to 50% subject to fulfillment of merit restrictions.
