North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology or NERIST as it is known is university dedicated to study and research in science and technology. Located in the town of Nirjuli, Itanagar Arunachal Pradesh this university is a UGC recognized deemed university. This university offers programs in fields of agricultural engineering, chemistry, civil engineering, computer science & engineering, electrical engineering, electronics & computer engineering, forestry & life sciences, mathematics, mechanical engineering, management studies and physics.  NERIST conducts NERIST Entrance examination for admission to certificate, diploma and degree programs. These examinations are known as NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III.  Admission to post graduate course in technology is based on GATE score. Candidates looking for admission in B.Sc forestry programme must have completed their 10+2 with physics, Chemistry and biology. Admission in this programme is done through NEE.
