Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University is a university in Ajmer, Rajasthan, India. Established in 1987 and is named after the philosopher Maharshi Dayananda Saraswati. At present this university comprises of 45 teaching departments offering graduate and post graduate courses of study in faculties of earth sciences, engineering & system sciences, physical sciences, space sciences, arts & languages, education, law, commerce & management, media and journalism, social sciences, vedic sciences and rajasthani studies. At present this university affiliates 89 government-run and private colleges in the state of Rajasthan.
