Notre Dame's campus is located in Notre Dame, Indiana, an unincorporated community in the Michiana area of Northern Indiana. Because of its christian identity there are many religious buildings that stand on campus. The Basilica of the Sacred Heart, the 14-storey Hesburgh Library with its 132-feet-high mural depicting Christ the Teacher, and the University’s historic Main Building with its famed Golden Dome and replica of the Grotto of Lourdes are among the most widely known university landmarks in the world.
Notre Dame Stadium is home of the Fighting Irish The library system of the university is divided between the main library and each of the colleges and schools. Spread over 250 acres and containing 143 buildings University of Notre Dame Indiana Infrastructure is well known for the quality of its physical plant and the beauty of its campus.
University of Notre Dame Indiana Student Life and Activities:-
About 80% of undergraduates and 20% of graduate students live on campus.Because of the religious affiliation of the university, all residence halls are single-gender, with 15 male dorms and 14 female dorms. There are no traditional social fraternities or sororities at the university.The university is affiliated with the Congregation of the Holy Cross and as such the Notre dame has a considerable catholic population. Apart from the Basillica of the Sacred Heart there are 57 chapels on campus. Catholic mass is celebrated over 100 times a week on campus. Sunday and daily masses as well as daily confessions are heard at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in the center of campus.
As at most other universities, Notre Dame's students run a number of news media outlets. The nine student-run outlets include three newspapers, both a radio and television station, and several magazines and journals. Notre Dame teams are known as the Fighting Irish and the most popular games on campus include football and men's basketball. Community service is also a distinctive feature of University of Notre Dame Indiana Student Life and Activities.
