Following is all you need to know about Bryn Mawr College Pennsylvania Admission

Bryn Mawr College accepts the Common Application for all applicants for undergraduate admission. Please review the appropriate admission plan for a list of requirements as well as application deadlines.

Application deadlines for first year applicants is as follows:
(Early Decision I): November 15
(Early Decision II): January 01
(Regular Decision): January 15

Application Requirements for Transfer Applicants:

Official transcripts from all high schools and colleges attended. Include GED certificate, if applicable.
College Registrar’s Report (brief profile to accompany each college transcript)

Standardized test results (SAT or ACT) for international students only
TOEFL or IELTS results if English is not your first language. (We can waive this requirement if you attended a school in which the only language of instruction was English. The minimum score required for admission consideration is 100 on the TOEFL or 7 on the IELTS.)

Interviews also form an important part of admission for transfer applicants.

To enroll for the Spring semester (January-May) the deadline is November 1.

International Students are not eligible to apply for the Spring semester
Applicants can expect to receive their decisions by end of December.

To enroll for the Fall semester (August-December) the deadline is March 1.

Spring decisions are made on a rolling basis and applicants can expect to receive their decisions between late April and late May.

The campus of Bryn Mawr was Calvert Vaux and Frederick Law Olmsted and is known for its arboretum (large collection of trees) that is well maintained.

All students are expected to live on campus throughout the academic year and as such a majority of students live on campus in residential halls. The older residence halls are known for their collegiate gothic design and each is named after a county town in Wales  Brecon, Denbigh (1891), Merion (1885), and Radnor (1887). Pembroke East and West (1892). The newest residence halls include  Erdman (opened 1965, designed by architect Louis Kahn) and the Haffner Language and Culture House (opened 1971). In addition, students may choose to live in Perry House (the Black Cultural Center) or Batten House (an environmentally friendly co-op). Glenmede (formerly graduate student housing) is an estate located about a half mile from the main campus which was available housing for undergraduate students.

Bryn Mawr's library holdings are housed in the Mariam Coffin Canaday Library (opened 1970), the Rhys Carpenter Library (opened 1997), and the Lois and Reginald Collier Science Library (opened 1993).

The other main elements of Bryn Mawr College Pennsylvania Infrastructure include
Blanca Noel Taft Memorial Garden:  A small serene enclosure with two small fountains.
Erdamen Hall Dormitory: The outer walls are formed by interlocking student rooms around three inner public spaces: the entry hall, dining hall and living hall. These spaces receive light from towering light monitors.
The Marjorie Walter Goodhart Theater: A valuted auditorium with  expanded stage and rehearsal space, updated sound and lighting, a teaching theater.
M. Carey Thomas Library: Named after the first dean and second president of the college this space is used for  performances, readings, lectures, and public gatherings.
Rhys Carpenter Art and Archaeology Library: This space contains study halls, lecture and seminar rooms.

Bryn Mawr College Pennsylvania Student Life and Activities:-

Though it is a women's college, Bryn Mawr College Pennsylvania offers its students the opportunity to balance their education with co-ed opportunities. At Haverford College, which is a mile away, Bryn Mawr women can take courses, join organizations and live in residence halls. Bryn Mawr students can also take courses and attend social events at nearby Swarthmore College, and can enroll in classes at the University of Pennsylvania. Shuttle vans are used to transport students. For students travelling at night the college provides lantern van service.

On-campus there are 100 student clubs and organizations that are housed in Victorian houses on Cambarian row. All students are expected to live on campus during the academic year but a student can request for approval to move out of campus.

Bryn Mawr undergraduates largely govern themselves in academic and social matters via the Self-Government Association. A significant aspect of self-government is the Academic Honor System (honor code).

The Bryn Mawr Owls athlectic teams are members of the NCAA Division III Centennial Conference.

The four major traditions of the college include

Parade Night: traditionally takes place on the 01st day of classes every year.
Lantern Night: which takes place in late October or early November.
Hell Week: which takes place in mid-February.
May day: which takes place on Sunday after the classes end on Spring Semester.
