• United States Naval Academy is an undergraduate naval service academy.
• The second oldest among five federal service academies in the US, USNA is known for its rigorious four program leading to Bachelor of Science degree and service in the US Navy or Marine Corps.
• Students at USNA known as Midshipmen are officers in training and their tuition fee is fully funded by the US Navy in return for active service post graduation.

The civilian professors nearly all have a PhD and can be awarded tenure, usually upon promotion from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor. Applicants wishing to apply for United States Naval Academy Maryland Admission are required to apply directly and receive a nomination usually from a congressional representative. Candidates are requested to apply for admission to USNA between April of junior year in high school and January of senior year in high school. The earlier the application the better.
Basic Requirements for Eligibility:-
A citizen of the United States of America.
An individual of good moral character.
Candidates aged between 17 and 23 years of age before July 01 of the year of admission are eligible to apply.
Unmarried.
Not pregnant and not dependent.
If you meet all the following eligibility requirements please follow the steps given below
a) Submit your preliminary application
b) Apply for Nomination
c) Submit college admission test report (The SAT-I code is 5809. The ACT code is 1742.)
d) If information provided in preliminary application indicates that your record is strong enough then you become an official candidate.
e) Your counsellors fills out the Candidate Academic Information and mails it to the USNA.
f) You need to undergo medical examination.

United States Naval Academy is located in Annapolis MD. United States Naval Academy Maryland Infrastructure includes all necessary facilities and is also known for its various memorials and landmarks. All Midshipmen studying the academy are provided accomodation at Bancroft Hall, a huge dormitory. USNA offers a number of services that include non-remedial tutoring, placement services, health services and insurance. The academy also ensures campus safety and security services like 24-hour foot and vehicle patrols, lighted pathways/sidewalks, student patrols, and controlled dormitory access (key, security card, etc).
United States Naval Academy Maryland Student Life and Activities:-
The school offers than 70 extra curriculuar activities for midshipmen from debates to scuba classes. The Navy has an NCAA Division I intercolliegate varsity sports team that competes in the Patriot League. The Navy is known for its longstanding rivalry, youv'e guessed it right, with the Army. Midshipmen studying at the academy must meet the physical education requirements during all four years in order to graduate. USNA is known for its various traditional events. An important such event is Ring Dance when second class Midshipmen receive their class rings. Students studying at the academy receive a monthly stipend. Alcohol is permitted for students of legal age at the United Stated Naval Academy Maryland.

The 2012 edition of U.S. News & World Report ranked the US Naval Academy as the No. 1 Public Liberal Arts College in the US, tied for first with the US Military Academy. In the category of High School Counselor Rankings of National Liberal Arts Colleges, the Naval Academy is also tied for No. 1 with the US Military Academy and the US Air Force Academy. It also holds the No. 5 spot with the US Air Force Academy for Best Undergraduate Engineering programs.
In the same year, Forbes ranked the US Naval Academy as No. 17 overall in nation in its report "America's Top Colleges 2011"
