01) Applying for Undergraduate Admission:-

Applying through UCAS

Applications for full-time undergraduate degree programmes at Queen’s must be made through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). Details of the application process can be obtained from your school, or from British Council offices. UCAS operates an online application facility Please note that the UCAS code name for Queen's is QBELF and the number is Q75.

Applying Direct

The Direct Entry Application form is to be used by international applicants who wish to apply directly, and only, to Queen's or who have been asked to provide information in advance of submitting a formal UCAS application.

If you have already submitted a UCAS application to Queen's or any other UK university please contact the Queen’s Admissions Office after submitting your direct entry application.

If you have already applied to UCAS, enter your UCAS number on page one.

This is important because a number of our programmes receive more applications than there are places available and arrangements may have to be made for tests, interviews and the collection of references, where required. Queen's University Belfast  Infrastructure:-

Queen's University Belfast is located in the city of Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland. The campus is based in south Belfast, 15 minutes walk from the vibrant city center. The university has two associated colleges namely St. Marys and Stranmills.While the university refers to its main site as its campus the university buildings are spread over a number of public buildings South Belfast, centring around University Road, University Square and Stranmillis Road, with other departments located further afield. Several institutes are associated with the university, namely the Institute of Legal profession, Institute of Theology, ECIT (The Institute of Electronics, Communications and Information Technology) and the Institute for Global Food Security.

The main University campus is the size of a small town, situated within three designated conservation areas, making walking or cycling around the area a very pleasant experience. Within walking distance of Queen’s are numerous shops, cafes and restaurants, Botanic Gardens, the Ulster Museum, the Grand Opera House and the Lyric Theatre, the Physical Education Centre and many other useful facilities.

Queen's University Belfast Student Life and Activities:-

The Queen's University Students Union (QUBSU) is one of the largest unions on a single campus in Ireland and UK . All students at the university are automatic members of the union. More than fifty sporting clubs and over 100 non-sporting societies are recognised by the Student's Union Council and therefore eligible to apply for an annual grant from the University.

Queen's provides housing for both undergraduates and postgraduates .The university provides accommodation on a purpose-built 'student village' called Elms Village, which has its own bar and shop, located on the Malone Road, south of the main campus, as well as in a number of houses in the South Belfast area, including at College Gardens and on Mount Charles.

The university also hosts the Belfast Festival and the Belfast Film Festival. The university is also known for its rich continued sporting tradition. Queen's sporting facilities were selected as a training venue for the 2012 Olympics, and played a major role during the 2013 World Police and Fire Games that were held in Belfast
