Kendriya Vidyalaya, Berhampur is under Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body functioning under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.
 
Initially, its objective was to educate children of the Indian defence services personnel who are often posted to remote places. The schools have been affiliated to CBSE to provide the course curriculum. The uniform curriculum followed by these schools all over India ensures that the children of government employees do not face any major constraints in pursuing their studies, when their parents are transferred by providing a common syllabi and system of education.
 


Admissions:
Parents who wish to apply for admission should obtain the brochure and application form on payment of admission fees.
 
Children have to meet the stipulated age requirement for admission to School as on June 1st of that year.
 
Admissions are based on merit and availability of seats.
