Promoted in the year 1987, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Surankote has grown by leaps and bounds in a short span of time in the J & K State. The school is affiliated to the CBSE Board and aims to provide a good quality modern education including a strong component of culture, inculcation of values and awareness of the environment.
 


Admissions:
Admission to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is made through the all India level selection test called Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST).
 
Talented students are selected through this test conducted each year by CBSE and are given admission to VIth class in the school.
 
Seats are reserved for the children of rural areas. At least 75% of the seats of district are filled by candidates selected from rural areas and the remaining seats are filled from the district's urban areas.
 


Facilities:
Well-ventilated, spacious classrooms with latest equipment in its laboratories and an AV room are designed to meet the pedagogical needs of students. A vast playground with sufficient play material is available to make school a pleasurable experience for pupils.
