Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kabirdham is administrated by the NavodayaVidyalayaSamiti. It is a co-ed English medium school and is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi Board.The school provides good quality modern education to the talented children predominantly from the rural areas without regard to their economic conditions.
 


Admissions:
Admissions in the JawaharNavodayaVidyalayas take place on the basis of a Selection Test conducted by the CBSE. The test is called the JawaharNavodayaVidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) it is of non-verbal nature, class neutral and so designed to ensure that children from rural areas are able to compete without facing any disadvantages due to poor communication facilities in rural areas special care is taken to ensure that children from far flung rural areas get admission form free of cost without any problem.
 
Sufficient publicity is done through Doordarshan, All India Radio, local newspapers, pamphlets, visits of Principals and teachers of NavodayaVidyalayas to the local schools of the district.
 


Facilities:
The Vidyalaya has all infrastructure facilities like academic block, well-equipped laboratories and large library hall with more than 8,000 books and references. A Computer Lab with Internet facility, Multimedia classroom, Maths Lab, Language Lab, SUPW and Music room, multipurpose hall, M. I. Room, dormitories for boys and girls, dining hall, staff quarters, play fields and twin Kitchen-cum-Dinning Hall serves the purpose of Mess.
