Founded in the year 1989, Jawahar D.A.V.Public School was under the joint management of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant & D.A.V. College Managing Committee. It is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi and offers holistic education from kindergarten to grade XII. J.D.A.V. Applications for admission are only issued for LKG and for classes above Ist Std would be subject to available vacancies.
 
An admission detail for LKG is announced in the first week of December every year.
