SNDT Women's university, the first women's university in the country as well as the South Asian subcontinent is known for its Center of Distance Education.Along with face to face education, SNDT also provides certificate, degree, diploma, post graduate degrees in the faculties of arts & humanities and commerce for women of all ages who could not complete their education, however desire to upgrade their educational qualification. The university's distance student support systems include Personal Contact Sessions (PCP), doubt solving sessions, counselling and self instructional material (SIM). Admissions are facilitated twice a year for calendar year (January to December) and academic year (June to July). In short SNDT Women's, University Distance education aims at providing L3 (Life Long Learning) thus empowering women.

Admissions:

 

SNDT Women's University Distance Education Admission:- 

 

University Entrance Test in Arts:-The Centre conducts University Entrance Test in Arts for those women who wish to get admission in SNDT's Arts and Commerce degree programs in Distance Education, but do not have the 10+2 (H.S.C) level certificates. A preparatory course is conducted by the Centre to prepare the students for the test.

 

For admission there is no precondition except that the candidate should be minimum 18 years old. The test is different from H.S.C./S.S.C. or such other exams. Passing the test is not same as passing XII.

University Entrance Test in Commerce:- The Centre conducts University Entrance Test in Commerce for those women who wish to get admission in SNDT's Arts and Commerce degree programs in Distance Education, but do not have the 10+2 (H.S.C) level certificates.
