Periyar Maniammai University's Center for Online and Distance Education (COADE) is known for its various skill and job specific academic programmes of study. Approved by the Distance Educational Council (DEC) and accredited by NAAC, PMU offers 9 undergraduate and 21 post graduate courses through distance mode. COADE of the university is recognized for its student friendly, innovative and technologically driven student support services.At present the university has no study centers and functions solely through its main campus located in Vallam, Thanjavur district of Tamilnadu. The medium of instruction for all courses is English however the university allows candidates to answer examinations in either Tamil or Hindi. Admission is held in the month of May and June for the academic year and November and December for the calender year.

Admission Procedure:-

 

Application form can be downloaded from the official website or can be puchased from the office at a cost of rupees 100 for Vocational, (for Certificate, Diploma, Advance Diploma, PG Diploma & UG Programmes Rs. 200/-) and for Post Graduate Programmes is Rs.300. Payment should be done in Demand Draft, cash and cheque payment will not be accepted.

 

Admission is done in the academic year from June to September 30th and exams are conducted in the month of May, June.

 

According to the calendar year admission is done within January to March 31st and exams are conducted in the month of November and December.

 

The application will be summarily rejected if there is any discrepancy between the information in the application form and the supporting documents. The name of the applicant, date of birth and qualifications will be considered as material particulars in the context.
