Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya's Institute of Distance Learning (IDL) has no external study or extension centers but offers graduate and post graduate courses in library and information sciences, journalism, environmental management, marketing and management. The university also offers post graduate diploma courses in personnel management, criminology and police administration, international business, export management, yoga & meditation and psychology. Personal contact programmes (PCP) are aimed at providing proper guidance and exposure to students.Regular update of the syllabus is also a key feature of the university's distance education program.
