Vinayaka Mission`s Sankaracharya Dental College is a constituent of Vinayaka Mission`s Sankaracharya University. The University was formed in the year 1981 by a self financing trust called Vinayaka Missions. In the year 2006, the university was granted the status of a deemed university. Being one of the prestigious deemed universities in India; it also features a separate faculty for dental education, which is accredited to the Dental Council of India.

Vinayaka Mission`s Sankaracharya Dental College was formed in the year 1986. The most striking feature that makes this institute a perfect center for Dental training is that ever since its inception, the institute has always been considered as one of the leading dental institutes in the state of Tamil Nadu. Every year, the college accepts 40 students for the course of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), which is a four years full time program.

The candidates will get the admission on the basis of the entrance examination which is conducted by the college.
