Vidyalankar Institute of Technology (VIT) is an engineering degree college that caters to students who have passed the Maharashtra State Board's HSC and CET examinations and desire to take up engineering as their profession. Institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to University of Mumbai. It was established by an organization that was already well known in the field of education viz. Vidyalankar Dyanapeeth Trust.
Currently, the Institute offers both graduate and postgraduate programs. The college has gone through various phases of expansions over the last few years, and further expansions are also expected. It aims to explore the possibilities of collaboration with other leading Institutes in India and abroad for faculty and/or students training, faculty and/or students exchange and joint research.
Admissions:
Applicants willing to seek admission in the institute can register through online or offline process. Application forms will be available on the official website of the institute.
Institute accepts valid scores of MH-CET & GATE entrance exams for various courses. Along with the entrance marks, candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent from any statutory board with minimum marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).
Selection will be completely done on the merit basis.
Facilities:
The institute has a huge well equipped campus spread over 11 acres that provides facilities such as library with more than 17000 books, spacious computer centre, labs, fully air conditioned classrooms, mini cafeteria with wide screen LCD TV, seminar halls with Wi-Fi connectivity and other equipments, parking area, amphitheatre, sports complex and souvenir shop.
