Valliammai Engineering College was established in the year 1999 and located in Chennai. The College is a part of the SRM Group of Educational Institutions, sponsored by the Valliammai Society.

The Institution is certified with ISO 9001:2000 from Bureau Veritas Quality International. It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The college offering 3 programmes namely Engineering & Technology, Management and Computer Applications. In this 7 Under Graduate courses and 8 Post Graduate courses are offered by VEC.
 


Admissions:

Admission forms may be obtained from the college office.

Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the HSC (+2) examination conducted by the state and through counseling (TNEA) conducted by Anna university Chennai, selected candidates are allotted to various colleges for admission. Candidates may also appear directly for admission to the College under Management Quota.

VEC has been developed and fully established with 5 imposing multi-storeyed Academic Blocks and 2 Workshop Blocks. All the laboratories have adequate facilities with the latest equipment and machinery to provide optimum exposure to students to learn the subjects both in theoretical and applied aspects. The Buildings house fully furnished Laboratories, Class rooms, Drawing halls, Conference halls, Offices for HODs, Staff rooms, Seminar Halls, Department Libraries and other facilities.
