SGS Inst of Tech & Sc Indore is a technical institute in the capital of Madhya Pradesh i.e. Indore. It was established in the year 1952 as Shri Govindram Seksaria Kala Bhavan. It is considered a one of the blooming engineering institutes in Indore. It is an autonomous college seeking university status. In 1989 the institute was granted autonomous status by the University Grants Commission and the AICTE. It has been ranked 35th in the country.

SGS Inst of Tech & Sc Indore offers four years full time programs of Bachelor of Technology with special focus on several branches of engineering such as Industrial Bio-technology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. It also offers 17 post graduate courses.


Admissions:

B.E. /B. Tech. or equivalent with minimum 55% aggregate marks in appropriate Branch of Engineering/Tech. as mentioned against each course/specialization in Table-1. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories will get 10% relaxation in qualifying marks. Admissions to these courses in regular category are given in following sequence:

2.1.1.1 GATE Qualified

General Category/SC/ST/OBC Candidates with valid GATE Score are given admissions on the basis of merit prepared with Valid GATE Score.

2.1.1.2

Appeared in GATE but not qualified (securing less than minimum qualifying marks but greater than zero), are also considered for admission on the basis of merit list prepared with Valid GATE Score, however without Scholarship and only if seats remain vacant after the counselling of GATE qualified candidates of Para 2.1.1.1. 2 2.1.1.3 If seats remain vacant even after the counselling of candidates of Para 2.1.1.2,

NONGATE Candidates (NOT appeared in GATE or having Zero GATE Score) are also considered for admission, without Scholarship. For NONGATE Candidates, selection will be based on the merit of the written Test conducted by the Institute/Departments.

The Institute has highly qualified and experienced teachers with reputation in their areas of specialization. It has well equipped laboratories, sufficient books and periodicals in the library and fleet of buses for transportation. The college also offers separate hostel facility for boys and girls.
