Banaras Hindu University is one of the oldest universities in India that was established in the year 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. It is the largest residential university in Asia with over 24000 students in its campus. The institute is basically known for providing a wide range of courses, related to the field of Arts, Science and Commerce. But in the year 1986, Banaras Hindu University developed a separate department for Biotechnological education after realizing the demand for more qualified professionals across the country.
Today, School of Biotechnology – BHU is considered as one of the most admired global centers for Biotechnological studies.
