SSN School of Management and Computer Applications is a technical institute that is known for offering world class education to those students who want to enter into the blooming sector of IT (information technology). The college was founded in the year 1996 by the founder of HCL company; Mr. Shiv Nadar. The college has been certified with ISO 9001:2000 standard by the National Board of Accreditation.

SSN School of Management and Computer Applications offers four years full time program of Bachelor of Engineering with specialization in its different branches such as Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Information Technology.
It also offers Masters in Engineering in the following fields :

Admissions:

M C A :-

Any graduation of three years duration that is recognized by Anna University, Chennai. The candidate must have studied core mathematics either at the +2 level or during graduation.

Government Quota:
Admissions to the Government Quota are handled by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu. The single-window counseling normally takes place in the months of July / August every year at the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore.
Candidates seeking admission under the Government Quota must have written the TANCET exam (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) conducted by the Anna University. The ranking for the single-window counseling is done purely on the TANCET score.

Management Quota:

Admissions under the Management Quota to SSN SoMCA are made purely on merit.
Candidates seeking MBA admissions under the Management Quota must have written one of the entrance tests - CAT, XAT, ATMA, MAT or TANCET. The selection process is based on the scores in the entrance test as well as past academic record and performance at the Group Discussion and Personal Interview organized by the Institution.
Candidates seeking MCA admissions under the Management Quota must have written TANCET. The selection process is based on the scores in the entrance test as well as past academic record and performance in a Personal Interview organized by the Institution.

The college is located at Kalavakkam in Chennai. The sprawling 250 acres campus has been accorded with modern infrastructure facilities. There is computer library with high speed internet connectivity, modern workshops and labs, seminar halls, auditoriums and well stocked libraries, indoor stadium with gymnasium, sports and games fields.
