Established in the year 2010, National Institute of Technology Meghalaya (NIT Meghalaya) is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology. It aims to impart quality education in the fields of Engineering, Science and Technology at Undergraduate as well as Postgraduate levels with special attention to encourage innovation and creativity in these fields in a clean and healthy environment.

Admissions to the M. Tech Programme in the Institute are based on the GATE examination and through the counseling conducted by the Centralized Counseling for M. Tech. / M. Arch. / M. Plan.
